Beth and Keith Sanders, both in their 50's, have chosen to retire to the Virginia Mountains near Bristol and open their home to guests as a bed and breakfast. Beth has enjoyed sewing for over 40 years and is an extremely talented seamstress as well as working with arts and crafts, home decor and dressmaking. She operates" Designs by Beth" and her handiwork is on display throughout the home and in the gift shop. Items are available to purchase or you can place custom orders if you would like something made special for yourself or someone.
Beth is also a fantastic cook and has extensive experience in the
food service & restaurant business, restaurant operations and dietary
requirements. In the past she has owned and operated her own home
cleaning service and in preparation for operating a B&B, read, studied
and attended workshops on B&B operation and management. She enjoys
reading and watching movies and has an extensive collection of classic
movies to share with her guests.
Keith has close to 40 years of business experience in the mailing
and printing trades, everything from equipment servicing, sales,
sales training and recently retired from his own commercial mailing
operation. His hobbies include antique British car restoration and
he serves as Chairman of the American MG-C Register, a national
car club for MG-C owners and enthusiasts. He has preformed about
20 full or partial restorations and has several projects underway
or planned at almost any time. He has also collected Lionel trains
for 50 years.
Beth and Keith are both pet lovers and Mountain View Lodge is home to a very
friendly Chocolate Lab who resides outside named Cocoa and inside
is Miniature Schnauzer Puppy named Captain, called Cappy for short.
We would appreciate if guests would refrain from bringing pets as
ours might become jealous.
Together they make a great team and enjoy owning and operating
Sanders Mountain View Lodge.
